East Griqualand Tractors started operating in East Griqualand in 1948 and was formally registered in 1951 by Bruce Chapman who was the 6th appointed Ferguson dealer in the then Union of South Africa. Currently it is the oldest operating Massey Ferguson dealership operating in South Africa. Until to- day it is still a family owned business. Punch Chapman is currently the dealer principal and his son Keith Chapman will fill that position late in 2011. Three generations that have sold and serviced the world’s most copied tractor for more than 60 years. During this period we are proud to have had the services of Mike Scholtz as Parts manager for more than 40 years. Our greatest asset is our customer base. In many cases we have the grandson’s still purchasing Massey Ferguson equipment from EG Tractors. Three generations of loyalty to a company and product, virtually unheard of in to-day’s business environment.
